I've been away from DA for a long time and now I want to come back. I've been starved for inspiration and a community of artists to help me keep up my motivation to keep taking pictures and posting them. So wish me luck!

I've recently bought a new road bike and it is all kinds of awesome. Other than having to replace more than a few of the bits like the tires and brakes, that is. So I've been thinking: I have far too many photos of Vikki doing strange things and some random stuff that I snapped out and about but no "theme" as such. So I want to try one. Suggest something! Now that I have the means to get to places in London and environs fairly easily, I can do almost anything! Hmmm...

Sort of defeats the point of having a 12MP camera and a pro flickr account if all I keep uploading are 1000 x whatever images! Lightroom, all in all though, is awesome and I heartily recommend it to anyone. Especially Lightroom 2.0 which comes in a 64-bit flavour and sees performance improvements when using a machine with lots of RAM and what have you. For those of you with Canon cameras, it also reads the Canon RAW format very well. Adobe have tweaked the algorithm for reading .cr2 files and there are no more issues with it getting the colours a  bit wrong. Good news for me then!
